Caring for Those In Need
EXPERIENCE PROCLAIMING GRACE OUTREACH
Proclaiming Grace Outreach helps people in need with a variety of small home repairs such as handicap ramps, floor, plumbing, electrical, and roof repairs. Projects are limited to necessary repairs and do not include anything cosmetic.
We open our pantry on the first and third Friday of each month. We offer not only canned goods, boxed food items, and meats, but we also offer paper products and cleaning supplies. Occasionally, we are able to offer pet foods.
The Thrift Spot is open on Saturdays 8 am to 4 pm. We offer affordable prices on a range of items including, but not limited to, clothing, linens, toys, kitchenware, household decorative items, furniture, electronics, tools and outdoor items.
In addition, we open our doors as needed for those in immediate need at no cost.
This program provides car repairs to those in need. There is an application process that requires the car to be the sole car for the family as well as the vehicle that transports to and from work, school or medical appointments.
WEEKEND BACKPACK PROGRAM
This program works with students at both New Kent and Stonehouse Elementary Schools to offer food to sustain the student through weekend. Proclaiming Grace Outreach provides food in conjunction with local churches and civic organizations.
Each year Proclaiming Grace Outreach offers three $1000.00 scholarships to New Kent and Warhill High School students. Applications can be found in the perspective school guidance offices.
