Spring has arrived! March 21, 2021

Good beautiful sunny afternoon. I just wanted to give a quick shout out to everyone who made yesterday such a special day. Yes March 20 was the anniversary of Jenna‘s death. However, it turned out to be a joyous day spending it at the Thrift Spot. I was blessed in so many different ways yesterday. First we had the wonderful privilege of singing happy birthday to a special lady customer. People with huge hearts donated cupcakes, cinnamon buns, breakfast pizza, and more for the staff and volunteers. Then I received the most incredible hug. I think we forget how important such things are. Then I had an elderly gentleman who visits quite often give me some crosses he makes from rubber bands. He wears one on the front of his shirt and he hands them out to people. That was so very special. Literally just two seconds after that I had a visit from two high school friends. That was enjoyable as well. A lady was in need of a lift chair and one was delivered that morning. We had a wonderful sales day, everyone was cordial to each other, and we have the most amazing, hardworking volunteers and staff. What sums all this all up? Just one four letter word. LOVE. I am so glad we are not afraid to show love to each other. God is so good!
