Our Programs
Proclaiming Grace Outreach helps those in need with a variety of small home repairs such as handicap ramps, floor, plumbing, electrical, and roof repairs. Projects are limited to necessary repairs (nothing cosmetic). An application, that is open only to home owners is required and you may call (757) 741-5070 to apply by phone. Please leave a message and your call will be returned within a few days.
Food is the most critical service item that we offer to our community neighbors. It gives them the sustenance to trudge forward during tough periods of life. Over 109,000 pounds of food was distributed through our Food Pantry in 2025, representing more than 1,400 households served. We made repairs on 10 homes and 3 automobiles for those in our service area of New Kent and upper James City Counties. These numbers represent a multitude of hope given to those who had nowhere else to turn for help.
Grace Village Thrift is open each Saturday 8 am to 4 pm (with the exception of the first Saturday in August and the last two Saturdays in December) . We offer affordable prices on a range of items including, but not limited to, clothing, linens, toys, kitchenware, household decorative items, furniture, electronics, tools and outdoor items.
This program works with students at New Kent County Schools and Stone House Elementary School to offer food to sustain students through the weekend. Proclaiming Grace Outreach provides food for the New Kent Schools in conjunction with the following local churches and civic organizations:
LaSertoma (Bottom of the Bridge)
Liberty Baptist Church - Lanexa
Corinth Baptist Church - New Kent
